If you have not yet had an opportunity to visit Rochester Cathedral this month, you may be interested to see the newly restored Short Scion Floatplane G-AEZF, rebuilt by the Medway Aircraft Preservation Society Limited (MAPSL) on display inside until Sunday 31 August. The free exhibition will be open between 10.00 – 17.00 Mondays to Saturdays and between 12.00 – 17.00 on Sundays; except Monday 18 August when the exhibit is only open between 10.00 – 12.00 and on Thursday 28 August when the exhibit will be open from 11.00.
If that is not enough to tempt you, there are other exhibits and displays, as well as family activities – including adventure golf in the cathedral grounds.
While there are nearby car parks, including one at Rochester station, there is the opportunity to travel by train and don’t forget that Route 190 (and other Arriva buses) stop nearby outside Rochester station.
